We are delighted to introduce One Million Hours, an exciting initiative which unlocks intellectual capital across the legal sector for the planet. As well as a wide range of pro bono legal advice, for example help with contracts, IP and planning/protecting land use, we also have skilled volunteers who can support on IT, auditing, financial planning, marketing or comms.
One Million Hours is on the hunt to support charities, NGOs and not-for-profit organisations with projects focused on adapting the planet, arresting climate change, and reducing biodiversity loss. We can assist with projects with needs ranging from legal advice and drafting to research and mentoring. No project is too small, or too big!
Previous success stories include our support of the Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) in trademarks and registering the Global Biodiversity Standard as a separate legal entity and assisting the Net Zero Regulation and Policy Hub with the development phase of the Oxford Net Zero Policy Monitor. How does it work? The process is simple. Organisations need to fill in our quick online project submission form. If suitable, we will log your project and share it with our law firms to find you a suitable match. The best part about our help is it’s completely free - in return, because the success of One Million Hours relies on getting lots of people involved, we ask you to help us spread the word, potentially by contributing to a blog about your project and engaging with our social media content.
If you think you could benefit from some pro bono or volunteering from professionals who share your passion for reducing biodiversity loss and addressing the challenges of climate change, get in touch today or check out our website for more information.
We can’t wait to hear from you!
